LPM - Saw through a newie’s eyes
Asadar, LPM…
National Congress 2009 - the “hippie shake” of AIESEC Romania’s Local committees
New people, new ways of dealing with things, a new method of managing our resources, new Executive Board (EB) and Member Committee (MC) but nothing newer than the relation and the connections between the AIESEC Romania’s Local Committees (LC). At the 2009’s National Congress, all the participants made a clear statement: communication and collaboration will be the “Key Performance Indicators” and the “Critical Success Factors” of our future development as Local Committees in AIESEC in Romania.
More to that, the Awards Gala brought us even closer to a better collaboration, rewarding the best realizations of the Local Committees and taking the first step towards a brighter future in AIESEC in Romania and AIESEC in all the 13 LC’s.
All in all, this 2009 NC brought what was needed for us to start a new stage in our collaboration, made the things clearer and gave a boom for us to develop a lot faster in order for the members to have the best experience AIESEC can provide.
TTI 14-15 martie Cluj Napoca
LPM madness…LPM magic!
The recollections of a grrrrrrrreaaat conference. Actually, the recollections of the people who were there.
the leader of the pack, the only male character in the EB:
..Yes. The LPM is over. As far as I am concerned, I am a little bit melancolic, but in the same time happy. For me it was special because it was for the first time when I hold a session and you helped me a lot…
I just want to thank you all for being so involved, and for putting so much soul in that conference and in growing AIESEC Sibiu.
We all did a great conference, and I’m hoping that, to be a new begin, to be a new start and a source of energy.
It up of us:)

the mooshy side of me:
hey @sibiu dreamers,
dont worry about having to wake up and our dream ending! what we have now, what we were dreaming about before the lpm and what we were building on at the lpm was the kind of dream that doesnt dissapear with opening your eyes. as bebe said it’s the kind of dream you have with your eyes open so you will always see it.
lpm was a dream come true. it reminded me why i wanted to be in the eb in the first place, it made the beliefs i carried around with me all the time even stronger - power to the people!
we dreamt together, we made it real together and we will make it happen together!
i was never so impressed, in all my 3 years of @, by any conference. i have never seen so much synergy, so much enthusiasm, so much desire for change and for making things happen. although i slept for about 8 hours during all the 4 days, i was so full of energy because i was among you - because you, the people present, really put passion into every little thing that happen. and that was my fuel!
thank you julie, andi, titel, marius, johnny, moskito, mir, mihai, chyps, eugen and crazy nico for involving so much in the planning sessions, for making your ideas stick together so well and being such great party people,
thanks to the the oc - mihai, chyps and eugen for being so great with everything and also leaving their mark in the sessions we had,
thanks to a really great chair, bebe, who never ceases to amaze us,
thanks to micky, radu, ovitatu and leo aka varu lu bebe for being such enthousiastic externals/alumni,
thanks to piotr, our ceeder, for being so crazy as to coming on such short notice to sibiu,
thanks jason, our pcv, for being part of @sibiu so much these days (and hopefully even more in the future) and for his “putting the finger on it” skill,
thanks to mir, piotr and jason for the greatness of the treasure hunt and for putting so much passion into it,
thanks to miruna and zeno for keeping the dreamers with their feet on the ground,
thanks to the eb and tb
for being so full of energy and for all the passion,
thank you all for being so wonderful and fun to be around and work with.
i’ve had the conference of my life, the conference that i will never forget.
A rather dreamier than usual letzu.
Mada felt it and shared it!

Dear AIESEC Sibiu,
I would have liked to share some of my feelings with you right there at LPM, but let’s say I chose not to do this for several reasons…
I am happy to see you all so enthusiastic that you got the chance to work on such an important “project”- LPM!
I would like to tell you two things:
1. Congratz for all the work and enthusiasm!
2. My style:
LPM is just a step… a very important one, but it is just the beginning. All this effort needs your commitment to become from a nice dream, reality.
Miruna :o)
Mariusica in sort of a shock…
Hello guys and girls
I also really enjoyed this LPM and I want to tell you an interesting feeling I had :
I was used to the old style of making LPMs so I started, at one point, durring the LPM, to think : “Hey guys! There’s something we are not doing!!! Don’t you see it is too simple like this!?!? There must be something that sliped our minds because this is too easy!” ![]()
Yes.
The working style we had this year at LPM was really efficient and it made a pretty hard task to feel like it is not that much: planning for AIESEC Sibiu’s activities next year.
I really liked participating at this LPM and I hope that the members who haven’t attended will ask the ones who did to help them understand what AIESEC Sibiu will do next year.
Marius
Never forget…
Some of you know it, some of you don’t. Here’s my sugarcube to you:
“One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley. A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it. Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they had ever seen. The young man was very proud and boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart.
Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said, “Why your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine.” The crowd and the young man looked at the old man’s heart. It was beating strongly, but full of scars, it had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in, but they didn’t fit quite right and there were several jagged edges. In fact, in some places there were deep gouges where whole pieces were missing. The people stared — how can he say his heart is more beautiful, they thought?
The young man looked at the old man’s heart and saw its state and laughed “You must be joking,” he said. “Compare your heart with mine, mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears.” “Yes,” said the old man, “yours is perfect looking but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love - I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them, and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart, but because the pieces aren’t exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared.
Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away, and the other person hasn’t returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the empty gouges — giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too, and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?”
The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man with trembling hands The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it in the wound in the young man’s heart. It fit, but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges. The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old man’s heart flowed into his. They embraced and walked away side by side.”
Do everyting with passion, let go, feel what you do in AIESEC. AIESEC in not about developing new systems, using new tools, planning, numbers, words, abstract things. AIESEC is about fantastic people, it’s about YOU guys. It’s about helping you know people with the same interests like you, it’s about making you feel you can achieve anything and actually achieving it, it’s about dreams, it’s about friends for a lifetime, it’s about culture, it’s about real feelings, about leadership, about helping the “small ones” grow and develop, it’s all about YOU.
I can’t understand how every generation keeps forgetting this, keeps loosing the essence of AIESEC the “why I am here” thing.
Lot’s of luck and stardus,
Zeno.
